Senior students who practice Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in NZCCM’s Teaching clinic are bound by strong policy and procedures to ensure patient safety and positive health outcomes.
Acupuncture can offer treatment for many common conditions including those associated with diabetes, gout, asthma, depression, obesity, high cholesterol and blood pressure.
Students are thoroughly trained before entering clinical practice and are bound by the following NZCCM documents from the very start, to assist them understand the level of detail required and to learn best practice:

Students commence clinical practice in the second year of the BHSc programme at the College’s own clinic and they are strictly supervised by highly qualified NZCCM clinical supervisors. Students are also required to sign a confidentiality agreement before entering into clinical observation or clinical practice.
